Family Practice Clinics in Fort St. John

Fort St. John Family Practice Associates

A youthful, vibrant & supportive privately owned medical clinic consisting of 5 practices & 6 staff members working in a modern, fully furnished, well established clinic. Each physician has their own office, 2 exam rooms and a shared procedure room. The clinic has an in-house NP, LPNs, dietician, social worker, mental health clinicians, respiratory therapist, pharmacist, and home care support who work alongside to provide team-based care together.

  • The clinic operates on an alternate payment model, namely Population Based Funding + MOCAP + REEF
  • Rural retention premium of 21.7% over and above base fees + monthly retention premium after 9 months in community
  • Remuneration is TAKE-HOME. There is no overhead payable or split due, with no expenses deducted from physicians
  • Physicians are paid consistently via direct deposit every 2 weeks

There is opportunity to generate extra revenue through services performed outside the clinic such as ER, OR, Prenatal, Hospital Inpatients, Anesthetics, etc. This is all billed privately, and physicians keep 100% of these earnings.

North Peace Primary Care Clinic

North Peace Primary Care Clinic is committed to providing team-based care with a wide variety of primary care services. It is a large, well-equipped clinic located a short 6-minute drive to the Fort St. John Hospital. There are currently seven Family Practice Physicians, an in-house Primary Care Nurse. The clinic has two examination rooms for each physician and all doctors are provided their own office quipped with phone, computer, and printer.

  • Currently Family Doctors are using LFP mode of payment + MOCAP + REEF
  • Rural retention premium of 21.7% over and above base fees + monthly retention premium after 9 months in community
  • Patient panel for each physician starts at 1,500 patients
  • Weekday clinic hours with walk-in clinic every Friday for unattached patients
  • Overhead is divided equally among physicians and paid monthly
  • Group or locum coverage is assigned for physicians who are on vacation

ABC Medical Clinic

Community based family practice clinic providing ongoing care such as general medicine, chronic disease management, reproductive and sexual health, mental health and wellness and children’s health. The clinic currently has 6 Family Practice Physicians supported by 1 Licensed Practical Nurse.
