As the First Nations Health Authority works to transform and reform the way health care is delivered to First Nations people in BC, they provide a variety of services and programs accessible in the North Peace.

A dedicated team within Northern Health, Indigenous Health strives toward a health care system of excellence informed by Indigenous peoples’ ways of being and knowing.

Online Access to Health Services

Many virtual health care services are available to First Nations in the North Peace, that align with the principles and practices of cultural safety and humanity as well as trauma-informed care. Often these services are offered by health care specialists with Indigenous ancestry.

Virtual Doctor of the Day

A service open to all First Nations people and their families.

Maternity and Babies Advice Line

For expectant mothers and new parents, guardians or caregivers.

Substance Use & Psychiatry Services

Providing access to specialists in addictions medicine and psychiatry as well as mental health and allied health professions.

Referral from Family Doctor or Virtual Doctor of the Day is required.

Healthy Living

Explore services designed to prevent or manage chronic conditions, prevent injury, and support elder wellness.
