*NEW* Cervix Self Screening

There’s new way to screen for cervical cancer that can be done wherever you feel most comfortable.
Cervix self-screening is an alternative to the Pap for routine screening. It’s accurate & convenient.
Request a self screening kit by phone 1-877-702-6566 or online.

At Home Screening for Colon Cancer (FIT)

BC Cancer offers a screening test for colon cancer, called the fecal immunochemical test (FIT), which is done in the comfort of your own home. Everyone between the ages of 50 – 74 should get screened regularly.

FIT is a user-friendly highly accurate test that detects blood in your stool (poop) which can be a sign of pre-cancer. There are no dietary or medication restrictions so you can eat your regular meals and take your medications when testing.

To get a test kit, talk to your primary care provider and ask for a FIT. If you are eligible for screening your health care provider will give you and order form, which you take with your health card to a participating lab to pick up your FIT kit.
